-Bora Bora Cocktail Bar-
Review:
Tucked away off the main thoroughfare of Swinegate is Swinegate Court, home of the generic cocktail bar, with both Lucia and Bora Bora. With a suitably continental name conjuring thoughts of Ibiza nights it couldn’t be much more from the truth. Bora Bora is simply a small single cramped room which specialises in cocktails and little else; you won’t find any decent bottled beers or even a keg here. The tiny toilets were pretty hammered and unpleasant too. Their main positive feature is the awning covered outside seating, but huddling around a heat lamp in the usual English weather isn’t quite as continental as their image would have you believe. On a good warm night and if you didn’t mind paying over the odds for a basic cocktail then it might be worth a look in, that is if you can manage to squeeze past the hordes of revellers. Considering how much we disliked this place it was busy, maybe it’s just our age, or the fact that having a late licence draws people in desperate for another overpriced drink, either way is certainly wasn’t our cup of tea, or pint of beer, and we won’t be returning any time soon.
