-VJ's Bar-
Review:
VJ’s Bar is a glossy little café bar with lovely décor and a nice ambience. Unfortunately a trendy veneer can’t hide the fact that it’s a very small and cramped bar, ok if you get find a seat but hopeless otherwise. There’s pretty much no chance you could get a wheelchair in there and frankly they boast a large continental beer selection but with only a few draught pumps all with similar bland larger on, the rest being bottles, it’s not that impressive and neither is the pricing. They do have a tiny courtyard area but I’ve never seen it open. There’s a bit more room on the first floor but this is usually full with private parties. Maybe it’d be a place to enjoy for a party or if you’re feeling rather flush but with such a great selection of other bars in York I’m not sure the pretty ambience is worth the cost.
