-Vudu Lounge-
Review:
Well what can we say that is positive about Vudu lounge? Probably best to explain that in our mission to visit every bar in York we are forced to enter some venues that normally we would never set foot in and Vudu is one of those. A typically chavvy and glitzy second floor bar with a late licence and regular loud cheesy DJs. This is a bottle and cocktails bar aimed towards a glamorous trendy crowd but unfortunately it doesn’t really bring in its target audience. If you’d like a fight with some pretentious Only Way is Essex types then it’ll be perfect for you. As to be expected prices are extortionate and the glossy veneer is pretty thin, it’s all chandlers, disco lights and faux leather booth seating surrounded by glitter wallpaper, yes it does exist. Access is obviously poor with it being on the second floor and other than a very small Juliette balcony there is no outside space. The toilets are particularly cramped too, the best feature being the exit door. Sorry to write such a negative review but this is just about the furthest away from what we like and now this place is ticked off the list I doubt we’ll ever return.
